Accessibility

We are a private company, so the Public Sector Bodies Accessibility Regulations 2018 do not apply to us. We publish this anyway, because our readers include CAA staff and regulators, and because the Equality Act 2010 duty to make reasonable adjustments applies to us as a service provider regardless.

Our target

WCAG 2.2 Level AA across the site.

What we know falls short

• Canvas-rendered technical diagrams. The runway plate, the PAPI simulator and the obstacle-surface figure are drawn on HTML canvas, which a screen reader cannot read natively. Each carries a text alternative describing its content and conclusion — but that is a description, not the diagram, and it will not convey every visual detail.
